So, what have you all been up to in August? Just like many months this year there has been lots of ups and downs and plenty of spanners thrown into the works but there is a light starting to appear at the end of the tunnel!
The stats for how the Coronavirus has affected hair and beauty businesses is really quite shocking. A poll carried out by the National Hair and Beauty Federation (NHBF) shows that 25% of salons have had to temporarily close, 30% of salons have faced staff shortages and about 83% of salons received several cancellations every week. The struggles that the hair and beauty industry is facing is enormous, but we have been so proud of all our new and existing customers for persevering through the month of August. It has been so heart-warming and motivating to hear such positivity and determination to keep going and continuing to keep the nation looking fantastic despite the limitations and the turbulent times we find ourselves in! The support and strong sense of community that we have felt through the pandemic has been amazing and it makes us so incredibly happy to be part of this wonderful industry.
We ourselves have had a testing few weeks, like I’m sure many of you have, with isolations caused by getting pinged by test and trace which have caused staff shortages. As a company we have managed to work our way through a trying situation that was completely out of our hands. Many staff members have taken up different temporary roles to make sure that all our customers have been looked after and that our operations could continue to run smoothly. We just want to say a massive ‘thank you’ to you all for being so patient with us whilst we navigate our way through the ‘pingdemic’.
Our much loved and highly popular Pink & Gold Collection came back into stock in the middle of August which was all snapped up by some very excited salon owners! The images we are getting sent through of newly refitted salons in the pink and gold theme are absolutely stunning and we cannot wait to share them with you!

The number of salons who are wanting to custom design their own furniture has been incredible. The colour combinations and designs that are being created are really inspiring and we are so made up to be able to play a part in helping so many of you create your dream salons. We can’t wait to see these creations come to life and be placed in their new salon spaces.
This month really has gone in the blink of an eye. It’s been a very testing month for the whole hair and beauty industry, but the determination of this brilliant community is starting to pay off. It is so great to see so many salons and barbershops flourish and succeed despite the trials and tribulations and we believe that this industry is coming back better and more determined than ever!
